Have a friend whose grandfather owned a ton of land in Wylie, a lot of it on the main highway.

They sold out a lot of it by the square foot and they relocated to Blue Ridge. They said it is now a chithole but they are doing just fine.............

yup...used to be nice and quiet...ever since covid seems to be on the fast track to become a mudslum/hindu outpost... we're looking to leave...soon... get phone calls 3 to 4 times a week from a marble-mouth foreigner asking if we want to sell our property... rural south east texas is looking good.

We ended up in Rockwall, business still in Wylie.

Rockwall is quiet but plenty quiet but has it too.

I've lived in Wylie since '71...it used to be a great little town in the 70's and 80's. Hurricane Katrina, Wal-Mart and apartment homes killed it. I remember well the days of a tight knit community...then diversity came along.
Side note: Betty Gore was my 6th grade homeroom teacher...ifkyk.

Wylie Walmart is in my rotation…best selection and seasonal pricing clearances on clothing relative to the other seven Wmarts in my sequence protocol.
Top tier Walmart…good layout, organized…heck it’s even on a picturesque little hill.

9.1/10 Walmart. Their fishing section isn’t great….the one on 544 and Murphy road close by is much better for fishing lures.

Me and WillieFindum did personal time records on 2 limits of crappie in less than 30 minutes. Someone had suspended a big bunch of willows hanging between 3 big trees about 7’ down in 20 foot of water. A crappie on every drop fast as we could snatch them out. Never came close to repeating that. Went back several times to try and never got close to that first time.
