It’s a generational thing and it keeps getting worse. It’s not gonna get any better until rock bottom is hit.

My wife has been a public school teacher for 30 years. She said the kids are getting feral. No respect for teachers from pretty much everyone these days. I am glad she is at the end of her career.

I was raised in the late 50's and the 60's. Dude left out a bunch and have mercy on you if you grew up on a farm or ranch and had "chores".

Video isn’t loading for me but from y’all’s posts I can get an idea of the video. Modern technology is affecting people more than we realize. The anxiety and mental illness problems of younger generations is most likely due to smart phone and internet use. Social media is one of the worst possible things for a developing mind. Even us adults have had our attention span zapped by smartphones.

I would bet you olds who had a couple decades of pre internet life aren’t affected as much, but I also see many of you posting on the TFF all day long so even yall aren’t excluded from the point I’m making. The news today moves so friggin fast we all have to be online all the time to keep up.

As a species, we’ve got some maturing to do in our relationship with technology. Biology can easily be hijacked to our detriment.

That's a fairly accurate assessment. The lack of cell phone, we had to deal with whatever mess we created for ourselves. My wife and I grew up near each other, like 2 blocks away. She told my son him and his buddies were like poodles vs me and my buddies who were like wild dogs.... he is butt hurt about that comment

OK, this guy hit it right on the head! Warm stale hose water made me the man I am today. I sure wish we could get back to these days. You would stand correct when at someone else home or you would get whooped at every stop back to your home. AHAHHAHAHAH

And back then if your mom wanted to find you she would have to drive around the neighborhood and look for the pile of bmx bikes laying in a driveway or tell some kid she saw riding or walking to tell you to come home when they saw you.....and for any of you youth on here hose water was 100 percent a real thing and an accepted practice.

And you were lucky if the park had an actual water fountain in the late 70s early 80s. Generally it was a spigot they they used to water the park. A half rusty nasty spigot and you were happy to have it in July

Back in my day, my mom didn't look for me. If I didn't show up, say for dinner, then I'd be in trouble with the old man.

I had a buddy who's mom would blow a wistle when it was time for him to come home. You could hear it all over the neighborhood.

That wistle guy is one lucky dude.

Or you had to run to closest store and get water from their service sink. YUCK!
