No slam....but, when you visit a place with a slam, you possibly can give yourself a heart attack

Does anyone make a terlet seat that doesn’t slide off-center? You should PM RJ90210 and ask him the proper way to chain it down.

Does anyone make a terlet seat that doesn’t slide off-center? If it's sliding off center, it's most likely not installed correctly, or one of the bolts is stripped allowing the nut to loosen. Loose nuts are deadly !

If the plastic one is thin and you are a big ole boy you can crack the seat and pinch yourself...hurts like a biatch is what I have heard. You can do that with wood too. Allegedly. So...you're getting wood while on the toilet? WTF??

No, they all have something different, but I know one thing. Don't buy those cheaper ones. They don't last. Pay another $10-15 for a quality name brand and only replace once.
Kohler / Toto have the best toilet lids. They are soft close, so no slamming lid. They have a really nice finish so they are easy to clean. They have a thicker more dense plastic so they last. They come with some sort of easy clean hinge / bolts. The Kohler ones we have I can snap on / off to clean which is awesome. And some have additional anti-microbial coating built in that lasts X amount of years.

A toilet seat is something I can't make myself spend a lot of money on. Elvis died sitting on the pot, but most people get on and off pretty quick and forget about it.
