Is there anything that isn’t? That was a meaningless statement. Change is a constant.

it is not change for the better
those are 2 different scenarios
does that offer some meaning?

Even The Valley beats Houston or anything on the other side of the Mississippi, Rio Grande, or Red rivers.

We really enjoyed our time in Texas, it has a lot to offer and it was a great place to raise our family.

Unfortunately, the weather really sucks (in north Tex anyway) and the once quaint area we moved to turned into a major cluster of people, rooftops and traffic. Our neighborhood was also declining, from a once xanadu of young families to renters and undesirables.

We decided to try something different. It’s working out great. So many new friends we can’t keep up with party invites, golf anytime I want, billiards twice a week, wife works out a lot and does stuff with the ladies of the hood. A complete 180 from where we were. Yes, we could have found similar by staying in Texas, just wanted a change

It could easily become one if we aren't careful. Seen it happen first hand in Arizona and Colorado. flush_2

I’m an 82 yoa native, farm and ranch raised, Texan. I’m sick of hearing “ The way we did it back home.”. I didn’t invite you here and I like the Texas I was raised in. If you don’t like it, do a 180 and go back home.

BTW, if you think Texas is a chithole, go elsewhere. You won’t be missed.

And I’m sick of these carpet bagging Yankees coming into our state and soiling our fine, unblemished Texas women. I’ve heard tell that some of our womenfolk have lain with Yankee soldiers.

I was just trying to wrap it up in one thread instead of going town by town
Lived in Dallas 20 years, enjoyed it, but glad I’m out of there now, it’s twice as crowded now

Didn’t know you moved Tex
