Hard 8 is only ok. Railhead is better. Big fan of Railhead as well - really surprised at the number of folks that I talk to that reside in west part of the metromess that have never heard of them. Extra points for very cold beer, good staff and offer military/1st responder discounts.

I don't know about that, there's something to be said for free beans. They aren't free.... if you think they are free take a pot in there, skip the line and scoop all them up and walk out.....

Ah, free beans. That’s a Cooper’s BBQ in Llano trick to get you in the door. Another highly rated, over-priced bbq joint that sucks just like Hard 8.
Did you guys know that Cooper’s cooks all their meats in an oven until almost done, then put it on the big pit for a little smoke? 10-50 in Richardson does the same. Pretty sure Hard 8 does as well.
If you want real pit smoked BBQ in Llano go to Inman’s.
