Saw this on FB and thought I’d share. For me:

1. 407 BBQ
2. Hurtado

They can fight over the rest.

Don't think number 7 is in Lewisville .
If they can not tell the difference between Lewisville and Trophy Club, not sure they can judge BBQ
Plus 1 on 407

Hard 8 is only ok. Railhead is better.

Very few people have been to all of them I'd guess. I've only been to a few on that list and they were good, so no idea if that list is great or not.

That said, Smoke Sessions in Royse City and Smoak Town in Fate are both awesome and at least to me, better than the ones on the list above that I've been to. Closest things I've had to Franklins in Austin.

B4 BBQ in Mabank is absolutely unreal also.

407 is great, but it's been several years since I had it.

Hutchins BBQ in McKinney hands down the best brisket and burnt ends I’ve ever tasted. I’ve eaten at many on the list and a bunch more all over Texas. All the famous Hill Country area BBQ joints and none compare to Hutchins. Hard 8 doesn’t belong on that list.

The fact that Hard 8 is even on that list lets me know it’s a joke. I’ve never had a bad meal at hard 8, but it’s nothing to get excited about.

Hard 8 in Stephenville sucks

Isn’t that the original location? The one in Coppell is decent, but it’s way over priced.

I’m not a Hard 8 fan. I do agree the one in Coppell is the best of the chain I’ve eaten at. I have eaten at most of the Hill Country places and the ones in the BBQ triangle of Texas (haven’t waited in the 2 hour line for Franklins), Terry Blacks in Waco is as good or better as any I’ve eaten, much better than the original Blacks in Lockhart.

I've never eaten at any of those places but did take a 6 hour road trip and ate at 407. Tender brisket, great flavor, outstanding bark !
