The man, who has not been identified, said he was "laying on his bed" with a female friend in the early hours of Monday when his dog "jumped on the bed and got his paw stuck in the trigger guard" accidentally setting it off, the Memphis Police Department said in a news release Monday.

The bullet discharged by the gun grazed the victim "in his top left thigh," police said.

I had to go to Memphis for work for two weeks several years ago.
Found some great 'divey' bars and restaurants and had great meals.
Ate at a BBQ place called "Corkey's(?), that was supposed to be the best BBQ in Memphis.
First time was a slow Sat afternoon. Sat at the bar and discovered they had their own special beer brewed. Beer wasn't bad. Talked to the Bartender and when he tried to talk up Memphis BBQ I told him 'I'm from 'Texas'. He sort of went rhu rho and I told him to give me a little of his best.
The dry ribs were ok, the wet ribs I didn't like, the sausage was ok, but the chopped beef was outstanding; so much so that I went back in the middle of the week for a chopped BBQ sandwich for dinner where I bought a couple fellow Texans a beer.

Well. at least he didn't hit is chithole.

I lived in Germantown and worked in downtown Memphis for two years. Couldn’t get away fast enough. Calling it a chithole is an insult to real chitholes.

I thought this was about Memphis, Texas...and while it's not my favorite town on 287, it's not that bad.

Had to drop off a hearse there many years ago. Funeral home owner wanted me to drop off his new hearse in Manhattan on a Friday afternoon. NOPE. Left it at his other office and told him he could drive it there himself. Jeez. Newark, NJ was bad enough to drive in that day; I hate to imagine what Manhattan would've been like.

Brutal

Manhattan is truly amazing. Every, and I mean every American should visit Manhattan at least 3 times in their lives. Manhattan and Washington DC should be an American requirement.

You let your small mind keep you from an amazing experience.

I'll let you drive a freaking hearse through Manhattan on a Friday afternoon and we'll see if your thinking remains the same. I love to travel and would like to see Manhattan...NOT WHILE DRIVING A HEARSE!

Been to Manhattan and DC ten or so times each.
DC might have the best museums in the world.
Manhattan = meh. Wife loves it though.
