For 1 acre. From my research, zero turn arent great on hills. There is a fairly good slope coming off our patio. Not sure what grade, but if it iced over the kids could probably sled down it....

Zero turn is 10x. better- I use both of mine on a slope fine

I looked hard at zero turns last fall and ended up going conventional. Went with a John Deere S140. Have about 3/4 acre to cut and it almost seems overkill.

For that size property I'd go zero turn.

A typical zero turn mower should not be operated on a slope steeper than 15 degrees. Going beyond this can significantly increase the risk of loss of control, sliding, and potential rollovers.

I bought my zero turn from Toro online. You'll hear differing opinions, but I love my Timecutter. Going on three years, no issues.
Slopes are a beach but can be managed.
I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

I've used both, ZTR is so much better. Even for 1 acre. You'll be done in minutes compared to the hours. The constant backing up, revisiting areas, but you couldn't hug it tight, etc.

I've got both.... 2 orange ZD21's and 2 JD lawn tractors that have been collecting dust for years... never had an issue on a slope with the zeros, but, I use common sense and take my time on em.

Yep....would never go back to a conventional lawn tractor...love my Gravely and have had it for at least 6 years already.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.
