+1 on the ramps and if you’re not familiar with running the lake, I’d invest in a boat lane chip from Tom Mayne. This lake is dangerous to navigate.

Yeah, I've heard that from multiples. Do they sell them at Oak Cove Marina? Tackle as well?

Harbor Inn Marina has a decent ramp. Get chips thru Tom Mayne web site. New tackle store on 287, a mile west of Oak Cove Marina.

Yessir, Thank you! I went to Oak Cove today, decent. I saw the Tackle store on the way out, on 287. I'll visit the other ramp next time.

Only if you want to come back to your vehicle with the window busted out. Use oak cove, harbor inn or fishermans point ramps.

Going to be out here for a club tournament this weekend if the winds don't get to high. Never been here before but I think most of my time will be spent between 287 and 2859. How is the navigation in that area? The guys I'm going with say stay in the channel if you're running. From what I can research it looks like most of the West side and north of the island especially is timber. Thanks in advance.

Go across Chambers arm from Oak Cove and stay out a ways from the N/E bank running up to 2859 bridge and you'll be fine.
