Swim jig is a good choice for weightless stuff? I've never handled one, just seems like it could be possibly be a bit too much rod for that. Then again, I said the same thing when I got the heavy cover for 1/4oz texas rigs, but I was wrong. It's fantastic for that

"Am I really missing out with my hobo bucoo rods?😆"

Ive got a bucoo that I like. Just had to wrap the grip with the winn grip tape.

But I like the Lowriders also for the price.

Eye Crosser was designed by Christie for frogging but I use it for just about everything. For me the Amistad is overrated. It’s a bit heavy to my liking. I use nothing but Caras anymore. Love that 5 power swim jig rod, I use it a lot. Dragger 1 is a must have.

If the Cara Dragger is anything like the Lowrider I probably wouldn’t care for it. The LR model says heavy fast but no way it is. It seems pretty moderate to me. Would likely make a good spinner bait/chatterbait rod but I already have that covered. Can’t find a real use for it in my lineup.

I have a 7ft heavy which I gave $40 for in 1983 .I HAVE CAUGHT MANY FISH FROM ZERO TO 12 Lbs on it and I still use it everytime I am on the water ,It is my go to for flipping and jigs and big worms.I have tried many others and can not find a better rod for what I do with this rod. It has stood the test of time for me.

I love the Cara series... Check out the Heavy Cover Jig rod... I wanted a one piece flippin' stick and this is the one a guy in customer service recommended... I also use it to throw football jigs... I really like it... The Swim Jig rod is another winner... Good with spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and a swim jig... Dan

Nope, I've got three Bucoos and have no intentions of getting rid of them or trading them in. I use them for moving baits and really like them. Caught my biggest bass (10.5lbs) on the 7' medium Bucco back in 2023. If I were to buy a new moving bait rod today I'd probably get Lowrider, but nothing wrong with the Buccos at all in my opinion. Best $100 rod on the market and it's not even close.

Found a cpl buccos at academy in 23’ for $50 each just like you love them for crank baits caught a 9.84 with a Walmart ozark trail CB. cheers

I really like the Cara finesse jig for weightless. I have the Cars Weightless rod but only use it for wacky senko. I have some of the LR swim jig and a Bucco, like them for Chatterbaits.

Well. Start a new thread with a photo of this new racing boat of yours. Still claiming it rides better in rough water than a 210?

Well... The maiden voyage was the Saturday that BASS canceled their final day of the competition at the Sam Rayburn Open... Got a hour and a half of break in time on the engine... Put in at Powell Point and ran between Buck Bay and 5 Fingers a couple of times in between catching a few bass... I'll be heading to St Clair in mid April... I and based on my experience so far it won't be a problem... I like to travel incognito so I'll let your imagination run wild for a while before I post pictures of my bass catching so called race boat... Dan wink
