It takes two sides to make a deal, everybody always says why did they not sign him sooner to save money, most have no idea what the player was asking for in the beginning of the negotiations. From what I have read the Cowboys and Parsons are in contract talks for the past week or so.

Yep. Once again Jerry is going to pay more than he could have had he been quicker to get the deal done. There is a demonstrable pattern here the past couple of years with this in Dallas.

Was he supposed to twist his arm so he would sign the contract lol. Nobody here has any idea what Parsons is asking, if he wants 50 M a year I guess Jerry should just pay it so he could get out in front of things. My guess is whatever he gets is about what he was going to get all along, highly unlikely that the player is going to change his price in the middle of negotiating because another contract got done.

He should learn to play run defense at some point.

If it happens with multiple players the past few years you have to see the common denominator. We're all the players hard to make a deal with or is it that common denominator being a factor?

Everybody says that the only thing that matters to Jerry is money and he is a genius at making it, so if that is true I highly doubt that Jerry just chooses to wait to sign players so it cost him 3-4 m dollars more, I refuse to believe that is how it works

I have a feeling they will trade him just before/during the draft. He's a damn fine player but is a headcase.

Never understood the head case thing, he is a superstar and never gets into any trouble, never understood the problem with him having a podcast either, 100's of players and coaches do other things to make money.

If I were Parsons, I would be asking for an astronomical amount so that I’m guaranteed to not be signed, therefore I can go to another team that has a chance of winning a playoff game.
