Used to fish it quite a bit but got away from it the past few years.

Somebody out there want to convince me I should throw it again?

Is there a time of the year its your go to?

Lake turn over time….end of September/early October….mid depth….but only if they are refusing to eat Texas rig and crankbaits.

I always have one ready on my shakey head rod. There isn't a time of year that I don't throw it. If there's a hard bottom or rocky area, I'm dragging a shakey head over it.

You can drag a shakey head just about any time of year, at about all depths, preferably on hard spots

I still always have it tied on but it does seem to catch less fish than it used to, kinda reminds me of how the effectiveness of a spinnerbait declined back in the day.

Always 2 or 3 on the deck every trip everywhere I go. As much pressure as the DFW lakes get you can always catch fish on the shakey head with a Zoom Trick worm. I’ve been making and selling them for 15 years. Always throw it on a spinning rod and 8 lb test. 1/8 oz most of the time unless the wind is howling then go to a 3/16 oz.

I use a shakey head year round as much as a t-rig. From 1/32 to 1/2.T-Macs/trick worms, dingers-upsize in the summer. Craw/Creatures are sneaky good too.

Cold water like now, a senko on one can be great. They are great for dock fishing. Skip them with a spinning rod for hard to reach areas
