I'm looking for a new set of earbuds,etc.. I've gone thru a few and when my truck was stolen a couple yrs back I lost several pairs. I like wearing the while fishing, playing poker etc. Currently I own a bone conducting set that's ok but harder to use while at the poker table due to others being able to hear what I'm listening to plus they aren't as clear as in ear/over ear one's. I bought a cheap apple knock offs and just can't keep them in my ears. My Sony's xm4's won't hold a charge anymore, they stayed in my ear better then the knockoffs but just barely.

Has anyone bought any of the newer Open-Ear Headphones like the SHOKZ New OpenFit 2 , etc.? if so opinions on sound quality, fit etc.?

I can't comment on any but the Bose quiet comfort ultra. I don't use them unless mowing or maybe riding the motorcycle, so I don't know if others hear what I am playing or not. For me the sound quality is great.

I've come to the conclusion that you pretty much have to pay for quality bluetooth earphones. Many cheap plug-ins work just fine, but I've yet to find a cheap wireless product that is acceptable.

I paid for "quality" when I bought the pricey Sony's but they won't hold a charge anymore less than a year owning them. So is it really that important to spend $300?

Do the Sony's have a warranty? I'd be pretty unhappy with that too.

The only ones I've really been impressed with are the apple airpods pro, and the bang & olufsen beoplay ex. The beoplay ex is probably the better sound quality, but doesn't link to phone quite as seamlessly as the airpods. Not sure if the same issue would exist on a non-apple phone.

I prefer the wired kind so I never have to worry about charging them….and people won’t look at you like you’re a crazy person if you start having a phone conversation while wearing them.

I've used wired in the past and they work ok while at the poker table they suck at pretty much anything while moving around.

I currently have soundcore and tozo earbuds, both of which come close to Sony's low standards. I wouldn't spend

I've gone to a clip on micro speaker unless I need noise reduction.

Tozo are decent. I have some T-12s.

I've had Sennheiser earbuds for a while. They're ok but not great. I just got the airpods 4 without noise reduction. So far, I'm very happy with them.

I’ve started using bone conduction style headphones. Bluetooth. They work well for me.

Amazon headphones.

I've had a bunch of different buds and for my money the Sony WF-1000XM5 are hard to beat for ANC buds. They're not the best at any one thing, but overall for the money I haven't found a better option.
