Well, Amazon is global.

Not much Walmart presence outside of North America…..the did try in the UK and Germany about twenty years ago…but they sold their Euro business to Asda

It used to be easier to return things to Amazon. Not so much in my area anymore. It's a 60 mile round trip for a "free return" on some Amazon items. Since it's net sales, returns are figuring into that dollar amount. Maybe more people are keeping their Amazon stuff now.

If you choose the free UPS store option you can drop it off at any UPS store regardless of the location it makes you ch9ose. We 7sually choose the Weatherford UPS store because it pops up closest to us on their return options but we drop off at Ft. Worth stores usually. Never an issue.

I wouldn’t worry about Walmart. They’re well positioned and can adjust their model fairly quickly if need be.

PS - That being said, Walmart may be due for a great re-awakening and try to get back a little closer to what made them great.

PSS - that also being said, I will still avoid them at all costs. Short of working in their stores, I can’t remember the last time I shopped in a Walmart.

I quit Amazon 2 years ago and I seldom enter a WalMart store but I'm a W+ subscriber and I get everything delivered to my door here in the woods.

My WalMarts are 27 & 32 miles away and I ALWAYS forget something. If I order for delivery I get what I need and save the gas and time.

But, Amazon has some tricks. 6 years ago I stained my cedar fence with a product purchased from Amazon. I couldn't remember what the product was, so I searched my order history. Same product was available for $160 for 5 gallons. I almost clicked on the "Buy it again" link, But, I decided to look first on Google for a local source. Sure enough, up popped Home Depot for $145. Right beside Home Depot was--you guessed it--Amazon with a sudden $25 discount--the exact same price as Home Depot.
