Sand Bass will be in the creeks this time of the year, but some do spawn on sandy/gravel points in the lakes. First part of April they will return and start schooling in the main body, definitely solid by the end of April.

I agree Gubius, my favorite time of year is fishing wind blown points. Shad spawn. Find the shad, find the fish. Sometimes if it’s right & I think it’s shaping up that way this year!!! You’ll have your pic of creek or point!

Mother Nature has a special plan for the anglers chasing pelagic fish. Stripes , Hybrids and Sandbass finish spawning within a few days before Gizzard Shad begin their spawn then the Threadfin spawn .
Gizzard in the trees ,Threads shallow and almost on the bank ie... rocks, rip rap sometimes loading ramps.
