What if one of the shooters is clowning around like Sawhorse does on here, and is goofing on the criminal aiming at his head when they say “FIRE” and it just so happens that Sawhorse Junior has the live round and performs a clean headshot.

A. Does the head shooter get admonished by DOC
B. Is he put on WOS for time period and not allowed firing squad detail
C. Or, do they patch the head hole, then shoot into the chest and cover the “misfire” up.

New Sawhorse would never ever do that...

All three shooters had real .308 bullets in their cartridges.

UT did 4 shooters, with on shooting blanks.

Never was there just 1 real bullet, from what I’ve read.

What a stupid concept. Have you ever known a Prison Guard? They have to a very healthy respect for those incarcerated. Loose your concentration when dealing with them for even an instant can cost your life. They are ready at all times to shoot offenders trying to escape. If they are Guard in one of the pickets, and an offender goes for the fence, they are allowed to put one M-4 round in the ground for a warning. Then open up as necessary to stop the escape.
Working a Firing Squad detail, would be just part of the day.

I have the phone numbers of at least three former guards who worked for many years in the prisons around Beeville TX. If you would like to call them to verify.
Not movies. Facts!
Or you could call one of your prison guard friends and ask them. See if think it's a stupid question. PM me you have the guts.

Any thread that brings Sawhorse into the scenario AND involves calling members of a law enforcement community has potential.

That is correct. You would not want just one of three guys with a live round. He could live. I know its unlikely but it could happen. Then what? Do CPR? Sit him up and do it again? Cannot risk that.

Now three guys shoot his heart... no chance.

If they shoot like Der V, 3 probably isn’t enough.
