Or, just get an SV instead of an MGL. problem fixed Daiwa? Yeah, HATE the TW. With a passion. I'm not asking from a POV to debate the T wing. I'm just legitimately curious what you dislike about it. I got away from Daiwa's because when I'm fishing bottom contact baits I keep my index finger under the line. Old habit and not breaking it. It causes the line to ball up in one spot on the spool and will cause the spool to jam. Seemed like every few casts I'd have to throw out and just reel in to level it back out. I drag with them and doesnt bother me- in fact I really like them. middle finger on the blank, pointer rotates between blank, underside of reel, and line-but mainly on blank and reel ( Ive found those to give me better sensations). thumb on reel, and remaining two fingers hold rod. I love it, but understand ergonomic issues with certain reels or reel seats. I'm 6'2" and have big hands, or so they say . love how small the Daiwa reels are. also, the chronarch MGL feels good-not quite as good, but acceptable. the only thing that is not recommended is braid to leader having to go through the T wing.

You guys sure are high maintenance! If you have to have your finger on the line to feel the bite maybe you should get a more sensitive rod.
