Why would anyone want to jog a mile anyway? Running a mile is just trying to be good at exercising. I'd rather play real sports. And the idiots that jog 26 miles just want to be able to tell the whole world that they are the best at exercising. Ever wonder why you never have to ask anyone if they have run a marathon?

at 55 the number of people with bad knees starts getting bigger.

I am 65 and a lot of the people I graduated with are getting Knee and Hip replacements. I guess I didn't live hard enough.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

He's not lying. Petro is in better shape than most 30 year olds.

He77, I couldn't run a mile in 1969 . Come to find out 50 years later I have a
congenital heart defect that would have declared me 4F. I still have issues.

I am early 60"s and recently started getting back into fitness mode. I am currently doing 3 sets of 15 pushups but off of an 18" incline ( bench). My goal soon is to do the standard push up and do 3+ sets of 20. I am also doing squats and a few {25) sets of the bird dog exercise 5 days a week along with my bike riding. Doing this makes me realize I should have NEVER slacked off. That said it is never too late to resume or for that matter start a fitness program.

I do 10 regular pushup as part of my warmup for bench press day, how many do you do ?
Couldn't run a mile without stopping either but I can climb the hills just fine around here to hunt, and we live at 7220 ft above sea level.

I did 9. Then I ran to the mirror to look at my progress.
