Considering how ridiculously easy it is to increase VO2 max it's a no trainer to do it.

What kind of exercise do you do to increase your vo2 max?

Look up "HIIT".

High-Intensity Interval Training.

Simply walking 30-60 minutes on a treadmill daily or just walking at a pace to where you can carry on a conversation can increase it dramatically in just 2 months. You don't have to do HIIT. Look up up Zone 2 heart rate exercises etc.

I would say an overwhelming majority of America cannot jog 1 mile without stopping.

I would say an overwhelming majority of America wouldn’t even attempt to jog 1 mile.

Correct, I would give it an about 3-5 percent of America is capable.

I do around 20 a set and about 4 sets 3 days a week. I do well over 100 crunches / sit ups 3 days a week as well. Add to that the yard work I do on my days when I'm not working out. I feel in good shape. My body shape, well, that's another story. It fluctuates during the seasons. Winter, I'm a little doughy. Summer, I'm feeling pretty darned good. Spring / Fall, I'm working on each size. AHAHAHHA

Same. I do some in between too…never use max effort. I’d say I average around 40,000 - 45,000 per weekday.

On the weekends I’ll up that by 10k or so…maybe 60,000 Saturday then again Sunday.

Wow, that’s a lot.

Ever try corn nuts and a couple Natty’s before you start that routine?

I just turned 69 have not done push ups in a while just did 12 but admit it was not all that easy. I get quite a bit of exercise just by normal activity but will be getting a lot more since it is about yard work time. Considering joining a gym but have not decided for sure yet.

Interesting…Westside recommended the same thing. I’m going to have to try it.

I walk 20 minutes on my treadmill 3 times a week....lift 5lb weight in each hand 25 curls,25 over my head and 25 times with weight in each hand simulating raising a shotgun (gets me in shape for raising a shotgun 500-1000 times a day in Argentina) also do 15 knee bends 3 times a week....been doing this routine several years so this and some heart pass surgery 9 years ago has kept me alive for 85 1/2 years....
