Wind is stupid high, went to my little lake (grapevine) and checked out the dam. Wind blowing right into it, swells were pretty big. Can't imagine what they would look like on a real lake. I have been out in some rough water, but when it's like today's wind it gets dangerous. Only boat I have ever been in with this kind of wind was a gambler 21ft which ate it up. What bass boat do you think would come out on top running this type of wind and waves?

I took some video from the lake but power is out here at the house, will upload it when we get online

33mph sustained and 60+mph gusts here today. Ain't a bass boat out there that will come out on top but I'm sure some die hard Champion owners will claim otherwise.

Drove down to Bodark earlier just to Chek out how big the waves were. Same thing Ii ask my buddy. Why when they show how a new boat rides they are on a slick lake. Showem on this ruff sucker if you want to brag on your boat. Don't care what kind I wouldn't have been on it today

One of these might be a good choice for today.

A Lund 2075 pro v bass would handle the best but it’s a wet ride.

My new Ranger Z520 took waves over the bow Sunday in 25-30 winds on Richland Chambers. It’s in the garage today. Haha.

How’s the ride compared to your skeeter?

I think I've speared more waves on little ole Grapevine than any lake.

Mine would have been right where it was at in this pic - on the trailer but covered up in the shop. Old Champ owner claiming otherwise. [Linked Image]

maybe a ranger 522D, but a ranger 620/21/22 would be best.

I survived the lake Sunday. I wouldn’t have even launched the Skeeter. Hahah.

There is no comparison on the ride. The Ranger is a BIG HEAVY boat. The Skeeter weighs a lot less…..
The new Ranger eats waves. The Skeeter requires a lot of driver input to work with the waves

I so want to find the old japanese youtube video "Ranger Boats / Please do not Imitate absolute", but its been scrubbed from the innerwebs since Johnny Morris bought Ranger. It was a long lens shot of an old Ranger taking on some massive waves, it was epic.
