Whatever happens when I'm just glad to scratch out a few bites without getting run over by the folks that haven't cranked a boat since last September.

There are some fish shallow on Lake Tyler now. But they really have not moved up in full spawn mode yet. The FFS minnow guys may still be trying to get them deep now. Last year was a different story.

I haven't spent a ton of time up shallow looking but it seems like very few are on beds south of the bridge on T. Bend. Water still in low 50s towards the south end.
Not sure about North of the bridge.

Full moon right around the corner and length of day is finally getting right. I saw 58-59 degree water consistently Saturday in North Texas. I’ve been hearing of one bed fish here and one there since the first week of Feb , hoping this year we’ll see solid weather patterns that will move a big wave up versus a more scattered spawn. Looking forward to a week on Toledo froggin and sight fishing in a couple of weeks.

Tawakoni water temp Saturday. Main lake 48 morning to 54-55 in the afternoon. A few coves in the 58-60 degree range by mid day Saturday. Some warmer water up North but the water is chocolate milk. Fishing sucks but it should turn on like a switch soon I would think.

Where we were on Roberts Saturday temps were 48 early and warmed to 50. Caught a few but still a little cold...

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Yea gonna be a minute. I had a 9.93 and a 9.50 in 30 foot of water last Monday absolutely no where close to a spawning area. Saw same main lake temps you did this weekend. We got a ways.

Classic could be interesting if it stays warm...

If it stays cold IMO thats when it could get WICKED. Im dreading the warming trend. Love winter fishing- super easy and consistent.

I walked down the bank of a big private lake adjacent to Lake Fork couple days ago. Walked up on a 25 sq ft bed with ~20 BIG Crappie in less than two FOW. The bass won’t be far behind.
