This is winning! A version of this will remain but only apply to businesses that do work or have a presence in foreign countries. The idea that something like this would apply to a mom and pop or any other small business solely based in the US was always ridiculous.

Should be based on size/number of employee's a business has. From a national security and a law enforcement standpoint (money laundering prevention) I see nothing wrong with being able to know who owns a specific business/company.

Okie by birth, Texan by choice.

We file for incorporation with the state and then file multiple forms with the IRS before this BOI nonsense. The government already knows who owns the business. Does anyone really think a business involved in money laundering is going to report their illegitimate business partners? I'm tired of all the government involvement in every business decision I make already, enough is enough.

Plus if have 20 plus employees you were exempt, or more than 5 million gross sales you were exempt.

Plus alot of industries in general were exempt.

It's was BS rule Biden tried to enact, bad thing is many people already filed or paid thier CPA or Business Attorney to file for them.

“National security” brought us [censored] like the patriot act. It’s all an affront to our rights.

BOI reporting is a classic example of imagining a problem, and then creating a response to that problem that provides nothing to solve the problem if it did indeed exist.

Remember Ben Franklin's great quote on liberty vs safety? Just like most gun "safety" regulations, this simply chips away at our freedoms but doesn't even come close to offering the tradeoff of safety.
