Brand new Invizix, first trip out. Broke off mid air and blew up my reel. Trolled up to the bank to retrieve my jig with line still tied on it. Switched over to try Sniper and so far so good.

I have some new braid do that to me Saturday. Not even a back lash. I just cast out a drop shot ….it went 4x further than normal.

Thats gonna ruffle some Daiwa Fanboy feathers. PS, it wouldn't have happened if you used Sniper

Remember the old days when you could cast a worm with a 1/4 ounce weight and it would lift up and arc over and down and land on a target sixty feet away with little thumb pressure needed? Why don't they make reels like that anymore? Or maybe I'm just too old and uncoordinated now. For the past few days it's been me against the rod and reel more than the fish.

Definitely user error on this one.

Those in the pictures don't look to be too bad. I would have set it down, waited until I'm idling out a pocket or having a snack. Then let the fun start.
