Salt water poured into the open vent areas in the back of your TV should do the trick. This is in line with my thinking. Then when it goes out, act like you really don’t even need a tv. Go cold Turkey a bit. She will be telling you to go get a tv. Then go get one. One just like you want. 👍 Then you get two birds with one stone. Did what she asked as soon as she asked, and you got what you want. Win-win

I wouldn’t kill a perfectly good tv just to buy another one. What kind of a relationship do you guys have with your wives… I'm with ya, put the 40" in the bedroom, shop/garage what ever. If nothing else give to someone that might need it.
