stay hydrated if you can ---- and at a minimum , be prepared for a long nasty headache

I appreciate the concern and I’m staying plenty hydrated with light beer. What I just dropped in the toilet is a little concerning though

Autophagy.

Fasting length
16–18 hours: Some recommend this as a starting point
24–36 hours: May be more beneficial with practice
2–3 days: May help your body get rid of old immune cells and produce new ones
3–5 days: May help regenerate gut lining cells
Fasting risks
Fasting for more than a few days can deplete vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes
Fasting can harm people with certain medical conditions, such as diabetes or heart disease
Fasting for five or more days can put you at risk of refeeding syndrome

48 hours has been my max. Good luck !

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

I had an aunt that went on a 40 day fast. Water only. She consulted with a doctor who gave her advice during and after the fast.

After a few weeks, tap water was making her sick, so she switched to bottled water. Another week, that started making her sick. She limped across the finish line extremely sick and malnourished. Eased off the fast with broth and slowly started adding solid food. It was a few more weeks before she was back eating normally.

She did it and lost a lot of weight. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m just doing 3 days and have about 23 hours left. I was only able to do a 2 day bender with no food.

I’ve done several 3 day fasts. Not particularly difficult. You get to a point where your body just gets tired of being hungry and the hunger pangs decrease significantly.

I was never particularly famished at the end of it either.

Well the 3 day bender is back and I haven’t ate. I might push it to 96 hours
