Early June = Oklahoma good weather. Bet rj knows some good places that others don’t. I’ve always wanted to go to Pine Creek Lake Oklahoma…many cabin options. What Chris said. Floating and fishing the Illinois is a blast and very family friendly these days, unless the water is high. In June it might be really high and it could be too much for the kids.

We went to Lake City Colorado every summer In July. That was about 50 years ago when it was just a small mountain town pop.300.
