You or I have no idea who is funding what- and for that matter if a parent has the money than good for them. We used to applaud successful folks in this country but now we just bash them. I’ve never sat around at a weigh in and wondered what the net worth of folks around me is…🤷‍♂️🤦🏼

I’ve gathered empirical data. I’ve paid attention to how bass fishing has changed over the last 15 years.

Plenty of boats are sold lately with this as the reason “used for high school tournaments and my kid went to college”

Riding on mommy and daddy’s coat tails has always been unpopular. I’m forever thankful that my parents didn’t give out freebies, they helped with school. They’ve offered many times since and I say no, for things like house down payments, I want to fund those things on my own.

I would never in a million years ask my folks for money to fund bass fishing, what’s the ROI on that? Exactly. It’s not a questions of having money or not.

Different mentality I guess. I’ve just seen a lot of folks that don’t find their own way get lost.

Funny cause a good majority of people were using it on St John's, but many say is was a no scope tournament. Now Lowen did win without it.

I think BASS will approach the FFS debate with the power of scheduling. To get a healthy mix of tournaments where the scope is the main player and a few that its not. Maybe it will open up some lakes they would not consider in the past to meet this mix.
