42 why does that even matter I grew up doing this stuff. I was not trying be smart a I get you do mostly commercial and that is mostly volume compared to residential

Heck yea if he paying Mexican to just install painted steel siding and snap lock panels $385 day I’m worth $550 …lol you have a lot to learn those are not even close to a snap lok panel A lot to learn …lol ok so do you make your own vents , dormers , cupolas are you double locking your ridges on standing seam roof or putting goofy big ridge cap and relying on caulk for everything? Are you taking a 2” standing seam and using a ridge cap to cover versus a seamer?

1” double lock 18” or 21” wide panels with ridge double locked like the seams I personally have never done 2” standing seam. On the 1” using seaming machine on the panels and ridges double locked with tongs wood mallet and steel munch all hand work

IMO, if they are willing to break one law, they are willing to break other laws. Goes for owners and workers.

Butch, your staff is illegal or legal? we work on prisons - schools - and fire halls what would your guess be ? Well nothing surprises me these days, but if they are legal and from Mexico your point is mute in this conversation, just because they’re Mexican doesn’t mean they aren’t skilled. But if they are illegal mulejockey considers you a criminal. Damn right I do. It is simple really and butch doesn’t need to pm me to explain it. He knows exactly why he employs those and knows exactly they are inferior to American workers. Ol boy RMMORT? is dressing him down completely. Not my line of work although I appreciate it.

Just to be clear also
We as the roofing contractor, who signs the contract, make a lot less money due to the cost of labor.
I know that the men that work with us are competent & do not need to be bird dogged. I can show them the scope & leave.
This allows me to find more work.
It’s a great system that the roofing contractor has to pay for, but who do you want on your building?
There is an industry standard on how much each project is worth & if you get a record of gouging people, you are done.
