I saw that on the news this morning, now that is an interesting project.

You want to talk about a hot button, that would be it.

Plenty of legal folks doing those jobs.

Are they reporting all of their earnings legally, no, cash is king and always will be. Do you blame them? Many aren’t exactly killing it financially.

I don't see legal folks doing stuff like : Sheetrock, Framing, Masonary, Roofing, Concrete etc, I would say 90% of them are illegals.

Up in my area on new houses being built are 95% illegals.

And you know this how? Because they're brown and don't speak English well?

I'm not saying that I'm blind / naive that we have an issue with illegals, but saying that 90% are illegal seems a stretch.

It's not just construction. The house cleaning, hotel cleaning, commercial building cleaning and yard work crews from private homes to golf courses across the land.....among several other manual labor industries tend to have positions filled primarily by folks who might benefit from a professional paper work evaluation. A cheap, replenishable labor source of young, healthy backs has been the foundation of a flourishing economy from Egyptian times, through the Roman Empire, European feudalism, Colonialism, Plantation agriculture, trans continental railroad construction, up through modern day.

I think most people know where the appropriate line in the sand is......and its not "send 'em all back".

SEND THEM ALL BACK! Fine to employers hiring them to financial bankruptcy.

I can see how it could be fun to say; but this is clearly not what is happening and it won't be.

Well said CCTX our country will be worse off if we send the real workers back home. Nobody will want to pay the real prices of a legal workforce in some of these job areas. In fact, most Americans are too lazy to do a lot of that work.

I doubt any of you all are asking if the guy mending the fence or spraying the weeds is legal or not, they just want the best deal, and a job well done. Thats what you get how it is now, and that doesn’t need to change.

Let’s stay focused on the criminals, drug smugglers, and other losers that are both legal and illegally here.

If they crossed the border illegally, they are illegally here. Anyone who harbors or employs them should be dealt with as the criminal they are also. The ol “most Americans are to lazy to do a lot of that work” shtick has been proven as complete BS multiple times over.

I know many here like to hire or enslave them, may want to check and see if their registration is up to date in the future flag
