If you have not driven through Colony ridge you need to in order to really understand the area. Many area's are not what you would think living in America should be. The amount of crime is incredible. Just one day before the raids there was a fatal stabbing. About a week before the raid they seized 344 pounds of meth from three illegal immigrants there. The meth was then linked back to the Sinaloa Cartel. John Harris, who developed the area with his family, should be in prison for the way he has developed, sold, and repossessed the property their. The lack of infastructure is terrible and the development has destroyed property values of the families that have lived around the developments for generations.

It's truly shameful what large parts of The Colony has become. That used to be a great lakeside bedroom community and then, poof, almost overnight, it became what it is now.

The area around Preston / Montfort and 635 is right there with it.

There were only three places I felt the need to open carry the automag when onsite. Acres Home, Greenspoint and Fair Park in Dallas. Colony ridge? I wanted a .50 cal mounted to the truck bed.

Our foundry is south of fair park. I hate going there with a passion.

Are you talking about The Colony or this Colony Ridge place? I’ve never known The Colony to be a bad place at all. With that said, the only reason I ever go to The Colony is for Scheels or maybe Top Golf

Preston/Monfort/635 is a hole, pretty much a mini Arlington.

I worked in Fair Park area, for 2 years almost 5 days a week, never felt unsafe but always was carrying.

Prior to that I had a cold storage unit off 2nd street and 30 for a couple of years, never felt any safety issues.

Probably 85-90% of the males they pickup will be back in less than a week to 10 days. If not sooner.
