Got to build a motor (partly). The long block is from GMPerformance. I don’t know what’s in the boxes yet….but it looks like a lot of parts. Haha.

Much respect to anyone who knows how to build engines, always fascinating to me. I’ve watched several build shows and videos on the subject. The way all that stuff is made/milled to such tight tolerances is really cool.

Crate motors have turned motor building into a lost art. Looks like fun.

I’m hurting.

I bought a new to me boat the other day. Took it out for the first time Saturday. It has Trick Steps. Yeh. They’re tricky all right. 3 minutes into the boat ramp parking lot and I busted my [censored]. Haha. Limping kinda slow today.

……and where are the instructions for this stuff?!

Older motors, are actually not that hard to build. You need a couple of knowledge based things, like torque settings, patterns, etc. But for the most part, it's not hard to do.

It's when you get into the performance engines, with very tight specs, electronics to run everything, etc. is where it gets difficult.

Already to a screeching halt. This motor needs every sensor. Cam, knock, oil, map, intake …..

Gotta stop and drink a Diet Coke and start searching for parts to make a list.

It’s the stuff that you remember. Haha.

This thing is way beyond distributors and carburetors. Haha.

Might be right about Monday builds. My brain ain’t firing in the right order. Haha

No perticular order, just make sure you use antiseeze on your plugs, di-electric grease on the boots, and don't over tighten anything or you'll hear the dreaded snap of plastic or worse the plug. AHAHHAHAHA
