Please fill me in on this. I have never heard of such a thing. Are you going to eat them? The only thing I have ever done is tape a flashlight to a pellet rifle and pop them at night.

Be safe,

LOL, dangle a fly in front of them and they'll eat it. Used to catch 'em like that when we were kids. Works best at dusk, if my memory's correct. They used to say a small piece of red ribbon or yarn just above the fly is better; don't recall if it was or not.

Reminds me of a funny story. Back in the day "frogging" was big sport; you'd wade with a light and hand grab 'em. When Randy Dearman was trying to break into fulltime guiding, he did a few shows with Denver Wathen (Freshwater Fishing, Texas Style). Randy was terrified of snakes. He and Denver filmed a show about frogging up on Livingston; they prowled the banks in a jon boat with a spotlight, and Randy would get out and wade to the bullfrogs and grab them. The night it aired he told us to count his steps to the frog, then back to the boat. He spotted one and got out while Denver held the light. Eleven steps to the log it was on. Just as he reached for the frog, a snake popped its head up behind the log. Three fast and frogless giant steps back into the boat. Randy swore the next day it was a cottonmouth; you couldn't tell in the show. I still get a giggle out of that one. And now I'm hungry for a mess of frog legs............
