Every time I bend my bass pro king kat rod tip it makes a cracking noise . Does that mean it's a very weak rod or am I bending it too hard? I'm concerned it might break on a big fish

If the rod were graphite or composite Iā€™d say you have a crack in the rod blank. Being glass Iā€™m not sure but also sounds like damaged blank to me.

Maybe one of the eyes is loose and when you bend it the bland and the eye are rubbing... Dan
