Isn’t the government forcing egg manufacturers to slaughter chickens if bird flu is found? Saying bird flu wiped out 162 million birds seems disingenuous by Reuters when the feds are requiring birds be killed and paying the companies for the loss of the birds.

You are correct. Say a chicken farm has 10,000 birds. One bird test positive all 10,000 must be killed per our govt.
