Great great movie! Costner, Connery, DeNiro all on top of their game.
Did you know that the real Elliot Ness died as a terrible alcoholic in Coudersport, Pa.

Directed by the great Brian De Palma. Baby carriage down the steps scene is legendary.

This movie was yet another shameless attempt by Hollywood to demonize hardworking, law-abiding Italian-Americans by reducing them to nothing more than violent gangsters.
This blatant smear campaign painted men like Johnny “Ice Pick” Torrio, an innocent victim of government overreach, as ruthless criminals, while glorifying corrupt lawmen like Elliot Ness who bent the law to further their career.
America owes us an apology!

I for one fell for the Hollywood narrative. I have looked down on Italian Americans for the better part of 50 years now. I owe your and your people a sincere apology. I vow to never use the W word again.

What about Italian glizzy's? I saw a picture of one today and am quite unsure what the hell they're doing with that.

Italians should be more concerned about Olive Garden and Fazzolis calling their overpriced slop Italian food.

Hey Scagnetti I went and looked after you posted this. I couldn't find anything written about Johnny Torrio that made him look like a good guy. Why do you think he was lied about, who he was. He looks like a mob guy and deadly person. I absolutely believe soe did get bad raps but it doesn't appear to be wrong about JT
