What species of sunfish have you caught in Texas that are over 10 inches?

Redear, Redbreast, Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and Hybrid Sunfish. The only two sunfish in the category that I have not caught over 10 inches are the Warmouth and Longear. Longest Warmouth 9.75" and longest Longear was 8.75".
Side Note: I will also add the Rio in catching over 10" category.

I would have to say "ditto" to Bankers picks...same here. The Red Ear from Fayette County Lake & Dunlap. The Bluegill & Hybrid from Fayette. The redbreast from Decker. The green sunfish from a private farm tank & the Rio from Dunlap.

I've caught Redbreast, Redear, Bluegill, Rios, Green sunfish, Hybrid sunfish and Green Hybrid sunfish over 10 inches. I've actually caught Redbreast, Redear, Rios and different Hybrid species 11 inches or better. I hold the fly rod catch and release state records for both a Redbreast and a Hybrid Sunfish at 11 inches.

I've caught Bluegill and Redbreast over 10", both at Ladybird Lake.

I've caught Bluegill and Redbreast over 10", both at Ladybird Lake. Back in the day LBL was the place to catch big sunfish. It still has some big ones. Dunlap was also a great place to catch big sunfish. The dam break ended that for Dunlap. Hope to see Dunlap make a GREAT come back, which it will.

Red Ear and the one and only Rio I have ever caught near San Antonio. I have caught a number of Coppernose bluegill over a pound, but never measured them.

Would this one make 10 inches? Caught it on the Guadalupe in Dec. I was using a 3wt fly rod and it put up a heck of a fight. Wish I’d measured it- biggest redbreast I’ve caught. That’s a nice fish. It looks like it could be 10, but I have missed enough fish by 1/4 inch that I can’t say for sure.
