I think I'd take this over 106° with life threatening humidity followed by 94° and still stifling at midnight while fishing a night tournament. But, if we're going to get this cold we could at least have some snow.

This lasts a couple of days and happens every few years. The miserable heat occurs every year and lasts for months.

I can sit under a tree and get cool. I can't sit on a snow bank and get warm.

I do know now....
Changing a flat tire in 18 degrees was a level of pain and suffering I don't ever need to experience again.

Yep, a different kin of pain but pain nevertheless. I remember working on a generator during the '21 icemaggedon storm andit was 13 degrees. your fingers won't work right.

My dad was giving me a hard time about fishing.

Wanted to know why I wasn’t fishing.

I told him I could do it but I can’t keep my hands warm enough…

Early afternoon, get ready for the leaks to begin. Find out what made it through and what didn't. Plumbers is fixin to be very busy and very expensive.

I had to run out front and pull the manhole cover over my main water cutoff in an attempt to cut off my water due to an active broken pipe. That was miserable and really did me in on cold weather
