I’m curious how many of you are cooking ribeyes in an air fryer? I bought one a few months ago and wonder why I didn’t do it sooner. It doesn’t smoke and has no grease splatter, which is great for me in the semi.
But Man!! These are by far the best steaks I’ve ever had. Salt and pepper each side, warm the air fryer up 5 minutes and then cook for 10 at 400. This is a little more rare than med rare, but man, it’s juicy and so tender.
I went to Logan’s last week while I was home to see my daughter. I was absolutely disgusted with what they served me for almost $40! I can buy a ribeye for less than a double cheeseburger combo.

I feel like 10 min at 400 in mine would burn it pretty bad. What. Rand fryer do you have?

it’s a cheap DASH. I bought a Ninja but it had too much power for the inverter in my truck so I bought this one. I think it’s only1200 watts.
I was using a thermometer on them but since I’m doing carnivore and eat ribeyes daily, I’ve gotten the time on mine pretty dialed in.

400 plus the fan can really dry things out quick. When I set my ninja to 400, it will blacken frozen chicken nuggets in much less than 10 min. And I cook the nuggets in the oven at 425 for 20 min

Hmmm, I pull mine at 130 interval temp. Maybe I should have just mentioned that. But it’s definitely juicy as hell

I have done this. The steaks turned out fine except there was no crust at all. I probably won't do that again.
The flavor was still good.

I've never tried our air fryer for steaks. Maybe I should but I've been a "grill 'em" guy for too many decades.
