I know it ain't football but it sure beats watching any other scheduled sports today.
Daytona 500 today.
12:30 local time on FOX
I'm stick'in with the #5 car again this year. Also like the #17 ride (Chris Buescher, Prosper, TX. boy).

Jimmy Johnson making a start I see. I wonder if he will be competitive or just riding around for a bit.
I will watch it. Its about the only NASCAR race I will watch anymore. For years I would watch every Sunday... since the "Chase" started it lost my interest fast. Just silly. On top of that my favorite drivers retired, and the racing just got less interesting in general for some reason, I am no longer a fan per se. But I will watch Daytona.
I like the Mexican kid. I hope he wins. Daniel Suarez.

I’m not a NASCAR fan, at all, but I know it’s wildly popular. With that said, it’s all we’ve heard about down here for months, constantly

Now they wont show the stands on TV because they are about 80% empty seats. NOW Daytona is an exception to that for sure. People still get stoked on the 500... other ones, not so much. Hell they give away free tickets to TMS when NASCAR comes out there just about. Its like $4 and an empty can of Coke to get in.

#12 Blaney fan myself, but today I wouldn’t mind seeing the #40 JR Motorsports car up there!

I’ll watch, just because there has been very little racing for months. Daytona is one of my least favorite race of the season. Nose to tail for miles and miles until someone gets too impatient and then you have “the big one” followed by a half hour of clean up. Just not very interesting. I like the Daytona road race track, but the oval is usually boring.
