Professional fishing drama.

I have no idea what happened but its not the first time he has been mixed up in drama on the water at the pro level.

2 sides to every story. To Poche's credit, he did not call out Avena by name in his original vid however if you follow competitive fishing you know exactly who he was referring to. Avena took it over the top IMHO and if 1/2 of the things Poche said were accurate it comes down to respect and Avena chasing the bent pole pattern. Intended or not it drew some clicks....of course Allen Johnson had to weigh in. (I refuse to call him by his nickname as he's more Slimy than Slick.)

I don’t follow MLF, but even I know Avena has the reputation of being a hole poacher, it’s happened multiple times.

But on the flip side, Poche seems to have a problem getting along with people everywhere he fishes. Or could be he’s just not scared to be vocal about it, definitely always drama though.

If you watched Avena's video on fb, he found the same fish as Poche in practice.. It was 2 hour run from where they launced, Avena got there first on the first day of the tournament and fished it. It was a 500yd long bank and Poche got pissed about Avena fishing around him. Its just stupid.

At the end of the day I don't think much of anything to do with fishing should be taken seriously and most professionals would be better served getting jobs at the local oil change place. It's become unwatchable and silly. I think it mostly appeals to people who still think profession wrestling is real.

Poche has a history of accusing people of this. Almost got him DQ’d in a Red River event because his temper got the best of him.

All for some attention and clicks

Poche is a great fisherman. Maybe one of the best shallow water guys on the planet. No idea who is actually in the wrong in this particular circumstance. However we do know one thing, a cloud of drama is always directly over the head of Poche no matter what trail he fishes. This has been his MO since day one. We all know people like this. Best thing you can do is avoid them. Most of the Pros seem to do exactly that with him.

What does Ish Monroe throw in the spring? Keith Poche.

Whenever I hear Keith Poche's name I think the whole occurance with Ish. It was wrong but I still think that is a funny joke. Anyone who has been following fishing for a while will remember.

What happened with Ish? I follow pretty closely, but I dont remember that...

I like Poche, but don't follow the drama.
