Exactly. Waste of time and money.

While were griping....would it bankrupt the State of Texas to repaint some lines on our roadways, say once every twenty years of so?
Might make night driving a bit safer for the citizens.

Owned my current vehicle for over ten years.
Still haven’t figured out what all the buttons do.

I would like to know this as well

And they also added an additional fee to it. The inspection fee was $7, the replacement is $7.50.

I see more expired paper tags on the south side of Dallas then anywhere else.

South Carolina use to have it, but can't remember the last time, probably 30 years

it's convenient for people who keep their cars in good running condition to not have it inspected. For sure is putting more bad cars and trucks on the road

It was certainly noticeable today in far north Dallas. It was foggy this morning 0800-1000.
I was disappointed to see so many vehicles with only one headlight working and/or an indicator out….and these were relatively “nice” vehicles.

Yeah, they did that on I-20 at the I-20/US 287/I-820 split in Kennedale right before they started the construction! The bridge on Campus over I-20 is 3 lanes, but none have lines painted...it's fun!

There were several known places in Johnson and Tarrant Counties that would pass any and all vehicles. Just had to slip 'em some money. It's been going on for over 30 years. My mom's ex used to send his cars up the road from his house to an old gas station in Alvarado...miraculously the dang things would ALWAYS pass. No windshield wipers, no problem. Horn doesn't work, no problem. Brakes not stopping the car? Here's your sticker...where's my $20?

You must not live around the wonderful city of Houston. It is a very common occurrence to see paper tags that expired several years ago and it is know all Nissan Altima's have only paper tags.
