It just dropped on Netflix. Really, really good watch. A few parts will make you mad and a few will feel like a gut punch.

I watched it and had a mix of emotions since it covered both sides equally. I thought it was done well. I made sure Somalia was not on my bucket list of places to visit.

Same. Those soldiers got done wrong as well. Having to run that gauntlet on foot was such a travesty.

Had the pleasure of getting to listen to Tim Wilkinson speak. He was just retiring out of Hurlburt Field when I got there.

I knew a lady whose brother was killed there. Very sad stuff.

Really a good watch that told a whole different side than the movie. I don’t know how that many guys made it out alive, I believe now we can say for sure that gal in congress really hates this country, really no surprise there though.

The 2 guys making passes in the little bird, firing out of the sides with their pistols, is so far beyond heroic that there aren’t many words to describe that level of dedication to one’s comrades.

Got a buddy that was serving in a Marine Recon unit off the coast listening to the radio traffic during the fight . He said they begged to go get into it. They had a hard stand down order.

Just watched it. The operation was a cluster, and another case where we shouldn't have been over there in the first place. Spend the dollars and resources on our own country.

I watched it, it felt like our guys were taking a knife to a gun fight. That was some gross mismanagement of our assets almost Bidenesque.

my nephew there as a sniper with the 10th Mountain,he was over watch at the gate of the airbase. He said during and after the battle the Somalis drove back and forth with their technicals outside of the base in plain view but they were not allowed to shoot. Shortly after that he applied for and became a Ranger.
