I was surprised when I saw this and thought the same exact thing as Sinkey. Then the second thing that crossed my mind is there early entries might be down so there trying to promote it . Will be interesting to see the turnout for sure.

In practice a week ago I located populations of fish in two very small areas of Glade. On Friday (practice day) one area was blown out by the rain and the other had boats all over it. I was out of time for finding new fish outside of Glade.
I decide to start in the least pressured spot and had zero bites. Around 10:30 I went to the pressured area in hopes that many boats moved on. I ended up catching 5 fish including slots before the storm rolled in. The rest of the day I struggled. I’m pretty confident the podcast provided fishing information thinned out the fish in this area. My fault for not forcing myself into the crowd earlier but I’m not one to join crowed areas. I let info from the podcast negatively impact my decisions making but I’m more disappointed that Champs would share such info. Hopefully Champs considers the impact of such info sharing for future tournaments.
Funny story: As I’m leaving Glade an empty pack of Lance Vick recommended Flashy Swimmer hooks floated by my boat.

I do think Champs is the best trail around, been fishing it for years and enjoy it every time. However I think they may have missed the mark this time. Maybe a little too much info?? Water temp, fine, water color, fine, seasonal patterns, fine, how a guide did last week, fine, but showing on a map where to go, not good IMO. People spend a lot of time and effort looking for fish, only to have a guide come on and tell everyone go here and throw this? Maybe throttle back on that just a bit.

I Would be upset, if I was gonna be fishing in Glade, but this is another reason I don’t like tournament fishing

So is this where everyone went to catch fish?
Was the winning team fishing these spots?
Inquiring minds need to know…
