Been there twice before but still looking for an ideal hotel/resort on the lake. Prefer the sunrise beach area.
Going in late March/early April for a week, maybe more. Always had good luck there with some quality fish.

Check on VRBO. There is not any shortage of places to stay up there.

As mentioned, check VRBO.
If you want convenience I would stay in Osage Beach. More restaurants and better ramps.
I have two condo rentals in Osage Beach. Its 1-2 miles to get to sunrise beach by water if that is the area you want to fish.

It's been YEARS since staying there, but if you're looking for a resort vs VRBO, Sunset Beach Resort in Sunrise Beach was a good place to stay for fisherman. Skyline Resort up the Niangua Arm was great as well. I can't guarantee what condition either resort is in now, but both look to be open still.
Can't we all just get along....
