Yes, I think the USMC general is an outstanding officer, BUT, they should all be fired and the system started over. I'm sure he would agree with me. Yes, some (very few) great ones would have to fine another way to serve their country, but, that's a small price to pay.

That’s a fair opinion.
I just don’t buy into the “if one person [censored] their pants, everybody has to wear diapers” doctrine. Smoke out the bad ones and get rid of them. Easy enough.

Current ratio of General Officers to Enlisted troops today is 1 per 1400 ( highest in modern military history).
Seems awfully top heavy too me. When I served, the O-6 level was where the real planning/decision work was done in the officer corps.

The current ratio of officer to enlisted is on purpose because of the officer shortage at and during WWII.

IMO, the AF has taken a step in the right direction by bringing back WOs. Unfortunately, they are currently only in the cyber community. Bringing WOs into the aviation community would free up a lot of manpower.
