Any baits you used to throw all the time and just quit throwing? Either on purpose or just phased out of your rotation?

I used to throw chatterbaits a lot when they first came out. When they were basically only made by one company whose name I cannot recall... I loved them but after having the bait break on a few big fish, all I got back was the blade, I gave up on them. Figured if they will eat a chatterbait I can get them to eat a spinnerbait.

What have you phased out?

Just thought of another one... Donkey rig. I used to throw that all the time. Have not in years. Not sure why. Just dont throw it anymore.

I only throw jig head minnows now. All other baits are outdated.

Hammered them on fork on slugo's in 90 picked up one bout 6-8 years ago caught 1 within bout 15 minutes didn't catch another after fishing it for over an hr.

I pretty much haven't thrown any Arbogast lures in quite some time. I used to throw the Hula Bug and Jitter Bug anytime the sun would rise / set and the temps were 60 or higher.

brush hog, used to throw them all the time and catch fish, now rarely do they get put on

Jig and a Biffle bug.

funny... ya beat me to it... the Bill Plummer's Super Frog was the first thing to come to mind... I still have one...I'm putting it in the boat... LOL

The craw and the bang-o are always in the boat...

Same here, in fact I'm thinking of tossing all my other tackle in the trash. With only 2 spinning rods and a handful of jigs my boat will be 10 mph faster.

Football head jig - always caught good fish on them but I don't fish many rocky lakes anymore (where I used to throw them).
