Has anyone fished this little lake in east Texas? Buddy of mine lives in Tyler and he wants to go fish it. Wondering if it’s worth going to.

Most who post here say it's good place not to catch fish.

The water is crystal clear and you need to down size on line and lures.

There's a lot of fish, average size isn't big. Periodically some big fish, but not a big fish lake IMO. Some fish bed deep in the clear water, some good vegetation throughout the lake as well. I like the middle portion of the lake best, but they're everywhere. Access in the park has a fee, you can also use the one in the Taste of Italy parking lot, they don't charge for it. Parking is limited there, but it's a decent ramp.

Lots of weeds. Clear water. I caught a big pickerel there. Few bass but nothing big on small plastics. They have gators too. Lots of them. Saw them with my own eyes.
I also heard there is rebar in the tops of stumps there. They say planted by locals to keep visitors out of "their" spots. But that might just be legend.
The Italian place is pretty good.
That is all I got.

40 years ago it was a good lake, at one point TPW surveys rated it a lake without fish. Locals killed it by taking home dozens of fish at a time. Pulled up to ramp to go night fish and we found 20 + bass carcasses at the ramp we called the warden to let them know.
I’d go to Holbrook

Hit and miss. Fished it semi regularly from the early '90s to early '00s.

It’s a good lake. March you will have good numbers and a few chunks mixed in
