Thanks for the replies. I'm more in the camp of a coon than a beaver. Found one of those dead in my front yard a number of years ago. Have NO idea how it got there. It might have been shot or died near the water and floated along until it ended up on our ramp and became turtle and buzzard food. Otter? I've seen a ton of them at Fork and they have tiny arms that seem like they could easily fall off.

I had a small pile of leaves, stick, and some pieces of water hyacinth washed up on my boat ramp at Fork. Took my blower down to blow it out and let it float away. Underneath the pile was this skeleton. When I blew it to the side of the ramp it sunk. Not sure how it managed to float up to our ramp. I snagged it with a rake and put it in a box - it is around 22" long. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-10384-259308-ramp_skeleton_02.08.25.jpg) TM i stand corrected... didnt see the racccoon skeleton.. so it is missing some limbs
