I use the spray and off the side of the boat as I apply. No more dip for me. I was fixing to ask if I was the only one that used Spray. I have the dip, pens and Spray. Much prefer the Spray 100 Percent...

Was in Jim Walling's boat back in the Hey Day's of Ray Roberts, and I pulled out a bottle of it. He starts hollering don't get that [censored] on my boat. Well I didn't get it in his boat, but I did get it all over his Chronarch reel. He was really PO'd. I use the pens. '

I use JJ's and in a pinch Spike It. The liquid lasts longer, has more scent, and YES it's messy. I keep it in my boat year round. I have a few spots on my boat from it. I don't worry about it, they fade over time. It sucks when it happens, but I find relief in knowing it will fade.
I tried the markers, they were OK, but they didn't apply as easily and as well as the dip.

About 10 years ago I spilled most of a bottle on my shirt, a few rod handles, boat carpet and fiberglass. Shirt was toast but it faded pretty quickly on the rod handles, carpet and fiberglass.

I sprinkle a little on the boat every morning for good luck. It goes away in a week. I don't see what everyone is freaking out about.

The red don't fade nearly as quick as the chartreuse but it will eventually...
