What rain suits are the latest and greatest for the boat, outdoors etc.? I see Frog Toggs have mixed reviews, pretty cheap. Columbia and Gore Tex high dollah.
What say ye brethren of the OT?

I've had a BPS 100 MPH suit for 20 years - great buy - and it does keep you dry as good as possible, in a Monsoon you still get wet around sleeves and neck/face areas. I've had a Frabill Suit that i've had for 10 years - Good set, it's not Gore-Tex but I've been in Monsoons and it isn't really waterproof. I keep a light weight Marmont rain set in backpack for when I'm in another boat or for summer time. And I just bought the Sitka Gore-Tex Water Fowl Set this past December when they were on sale - It's solid white for hunting geese in the snow - haven't used it yet but it fits the best out of all the suits I've owned.

Frogg toggs, they are cheap keep the rain off, and keep wind off. How often will you use them?

Frog Toggs just in case. I'm a fair weather, retired, weekday casting, and once a month weekend tournament old man.

100mph if it’s cold/cool and it’s for sure going to downpour, cheaper set if the weather is warm/hot.

Simms Challenger. Have tried a bunch but keep going back to Simms Challenger. Hard to beat for the price. I have the BPS100….its good for wet ad cold. I have a set of the H2O Magellan ones from Academy too. They are good for 45degree plus and moderate rain. I wore them in monsoon a while back on Athens and I was completely soaked. Wish I had thrown the 100 set in the truck that day.

StormR Aero jacket and bibs. Lightweight, lots of pockets and well made. Remember, there’s a difference between water resistant and waterproof. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-15231-259310-img_1133.jpeg)

The lake rose 10' that week and it never stopped raining.stayed dry all day long for 5 days.
